Andres Berrio is a prominent South Florida lawyer and founding partner of the law firm of Fuentes & Berrio. Andres has litigated and tried personal injury cases throughout the U.S. He also has extensive experience with claims against foreign and domestic air carriers and aircraft manufactures having represented hundreds of victims worldwide.
Born in New York City, New York, on December 26, 1970, Andres is the son of Colombian immigrants and is fluent in Spanish. He earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University, where he majored in biological science. Thereafter, Andres earned his juris doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Law, where he was an honorary member of the Association of Business Law Students, a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association and a LexisNexis associate in charge of training faculty and the student body in legal research.
While in law school, Andres earned a judicial clerkship for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Civil Administrative Judge George A. Brescher. Following an extensive clerkship, Andres earned a Federal internship with the U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, where he gained experience in civil litigation, including defense of medical malpractice and personal injury suits against the US government. He also clerked for the Environmental Land Use and Law Center; a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Florida’s pristine land, endangered animals, and natural resources.
